Woman killed by falling tree during high wind event in Issaquah

A woman is dead after a tree struck her truck on Saturday morning. The King County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) said around 11:22 a.m. a large tree fell on a truck, due to high wind, instantly killing a woman in her late 50s. This accident happened on Issaquah Hobart Road near South East May Valley Road. Around the time of the accident, Eastside Fire & Rescue posted the below to their profile on social media platform X: EF&R is responding to a tree onto a vehicle on SE May Valley RD / Issaquah Hobart RD SE. This is a fatality incident and will be under investigation by KCSO. The death is under investigation by the King County Sheriff's Office.
