Sevier County fire crews reported a wildfire in Wears Valley Tuesday afternoon.
According to Sevier County Fire, crews responded to the fire reported at Bud’s Ridge Way in the Wears Valley community around 2:30 p.m. Crews remained on the scene overnight.
As of Wednesday morning, the wildfire is 85 percent contained and no structures are currently threatened, according to Sevier County officials.
The impacted area is approximately 20 acres. One structure was damaged and one minor injury was reported. Residents were able to return to their homes around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Officials said, over 100 firefighters from local and state agencies responded. Crews continued to extinguish the fire through the night.
