A fire Tuesday, Dec. 20 in the Town of Sun Prairie injured a Town of Sun Prairie deputy and resulted in $45,000 in damage. Sun Prairie Fire Chief Chris Garrison said at 2:35 p.m. the Sun Prairie Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire in a storage building on Highway N. Incoming units reported smoke visible from all four sides of the building and flames showing from the roof. Crews quickly deployed hose lines to knock down the fire, protecting the nearby home.
