Crews from nine fire department responded to the Cameron Heights Apartments, near Appleton Avenue and White Oak Circle, south of County Line Road, shortly after 10 a.m. No injuries were reported. "Happy to be out safe," victim Kathy Becker said. "The good Lord watched over all of us. That’s what important." Becker’s family cat, Miller 64, was also able to escape. The displaced residents are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
