A man was injured in an explosion at a home under construction here Tuesday morning. Lodi Fire Chief Bobby Annen said the nearly 4,000-square-foot house was destroyed in the blast and ensuing fire, which was reported just before 10 a.m. “The house exploded,” Annen said. “The structure was completely down when we arrived on the scene and the contents were fully involved.” Firefighters from several area departments assisted the Lodi Fire Department at the scene at N1172 Chrisler Road, west of Lodi, between highways J and 60. During the response, Lodi police closed Chrisler and Reynolds roads as emergency vehicles entered and exited the driveway that wound down one hill and up another to the home behind a line of pine trees.
