Madison police arrested a man early Friday morning for allegedly setting a shelter and a dumpster at a Metro transfer point on fire. According to a release, it happened around 1:30 a.m. when Madison police and fire departments responded to a report of a shelter at the West Transfer Point on Tokay Boulevard being on fire. Police said there was an active fire when officers arrived at the scene, which was quickly extinguished. Using surveillance cameras, police were able to identify and arrest Leonard Washington.
