Car crashes into Sheboygan building, sets business on fire

A car crashed through the front of a building early Sunday morning setting the business on fire. According to the Sheboygan Police, around 2:25 AM the car driven by a 27-year-old man blew through a stop sign at S 24th Street and Union Avenue, crashing through the front entrance of Watson’s Vending and Foodservice. The car burst into flames, setting the office area of the business on fire. Sheboygan firefighters battled the blaze for about four hours. Damage to the structure is estimated at $60,000. The business was closed at the time of the incident and no one was injured in the fire. The driver of the car was alone in the vehicle. According to Police, he was not injured in the crash, but he was arrested and is facing his second charge of Operating While Intoxicated, Reckless Driving and Inattentive Driving.
