Four people were taken to the hospital, including one person whose injuries were believed life-threatening, following a three-vehicle crash that occurred at the intersection of 54th Street and Sheridan Road Sunday night. The accident, which was reported around 5:50 p.m., forced a smaller vehicle to crash into the Kenosha County parking garage structure west of the scene and east of the nearby Metra train station. Another larger vehicle involved in the crash also remained in the intersection as rescue personnel arrived and police worked traffic. According to Kenosha Fire Battalion Chief Matt Haerter, firefighters used extrication equipment to rescue the driver whose car crashed into the parking structure. That person was reported to have life-threatening injuries, he said.
