A 54-year-old Green Bay man died after the tractor he was driving caught fire Saturday morning. First responders were called around 12:55 a.m. Saturday to Tonet Road, north of County Road K, in Luxemburg for a report of a tractor on fire that had rolled into the power lines, according to the Kewaunee County Sheriff's Department. After the fire was out, Glenn's Towing moved the tractor to a stable location where firefighters used the jaws of life to enter the tractor. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff's department said. The investigation is ongoing and the victim's name will be released once his family is notified. In addition to the sheriff's department, Luxemburg Fire and Rescue, Red River First Responders and Wisconsin Public Service Corp. responded to the accident.
