Firefighters are still at the scene of a house fire in Oshkosh. The scene is located at Jackson Street and Prospect Avenue. Action 2 News viewer Amanda June Appleby sent us video of flames engulfing the building. Firefighters were working to hose down the flames as smoke billowed into the air. The Oshkosh Fire Department says they were dispatched to the fire at the duplex at 10:34 a.m. The upstairs unit had six people living in it, four of them were home at the time of the fire. Three of those people were taken to a local hospital for smoke inhalation. Two dogs in the upper unit also escaped the fire. The person who lived in the downstairs unit was at work at the time of the fire. The Red Cross was called in to help the people displaced by the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
