A badly burned body was found following an early morning house fire in Crawford County Friday, August 28. The Crawford County Sheriff’s Department received a call reporting a house fire on Spring Street in the Village of Lynxville at 2:07 a.m. Friday morning. A neighbor told law enforcement that the residence was fully engulfed in flames. The fire spread to a nearby building, which also became fully engulfed. Investigators found the remains of a badly burned body in the home, according to Sheriff Dale McCullick. The Wisconsin Fire Marshall’s Office was contacted.
