Firefighters are at the scene of a fire in downtown Madison Thursday evening. Dane County dispatch said it received a call at 5:41 p.m. for a report of a structure fire on the 100 block of North Franklin St. The Madison Fire Department reports five people have been displaced, but no one was home at the time of the fire. The Red Cross is helping those tenants while they are out of their homes. Investigators are on the scene looking into the cause of the fire. We'll have updates on Fox47.com as they become available.
