A 2-day old infant's life was likely saved thanks to the actions of a deputy and firefighters, authorities said Monday. Kenosha County Deputies and Salem Fire Department responded to a home on the 6600 block of 236th Avenue on Sunday for reports of a baby not breathing. A 2-day old infant was reportedly not conscious, not breathing and turning blue, according to the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department. The Sheriff's Dept. said Deputy Micheal Colaluca was able to perform first aid on the infant, including back blows and chest thrusts, which helped the baby breathe again. Deputies monitored the child until the Salem Lakes Fire Department arrived. The infant was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.
