Nine people lost their home after a fire on the city’s east side early Monday morning.
Fire crews responded to the blaze after 1 a.m. in the 300 block of South Quincy Street and found smoke coming from a first-floor window of a two-story home, according to the Green Bay Metro Fire Department.
Officials said firefighters extinguished the blaze in less than 10 minutes.
Nine people lived in the home, and they escaped without injury before fire crews arrived, officials said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Officials estimate damage costs at $50,000.
