The Madison Fire Department and Madison Police Department rescued a dog stuck in a backyard fence Wednesday according to an MFD incident report. A neighbor on Winter Frost Place noticed the dog in distress as it was stuck between two vertical stiles and called 911. Firefighters determined the safest and quickest solution to freeing the dog was to cut one of the stiles. Using a bolt cutter, the dog was freed from the fence. The dog was able to walk and did not appear to be seriously injured. An MPD officer returned the dog to its residence and informed the owner of what had happened.
