Three people were shot and one died late Friday on the city's west side, Police Chief Andrew Smith said. A responding firefighter was later treated at the hospital for "exposure." The shooting was reported after 9 p.m. near the area of Frank B. Seymour Park, south of West Walnut Street and off of South Ashland Avenue. Three people fired from a vehicle, hitting three others, he said. The suspects then drove away and remained at large as of 10:30 p.m. as law enforcement swarmed the neighborhood. A Green Bay Metro firefighter who responded to the shooting to care for the injured injured was exposed to bodily fluid and was treated and released from the hospital, according to the fire department. Smith told the Green Bay Press-Gazette it was a "sad end to the day."
