Two people were injured Tuesday evening in a house fire.
Firefighters responded around 5 p.m. Tuesday to a home in the 2900 block of West Point Road for a report of smoke coming from the residence and a person still inside, according to the Green Bay Metro Fire Department.
When firefighters arrived, smoke was coming from the door. Firefighters went inside the house and found one person, who was unresponsive. They got the person out of the house and the person was taken to a local hospital for treatment, according to the fire department. A second resident was treated at the scene.
Firefighters got the fire under control in fewer than 10 minutes, according to the department. No firefighters were injured.
Two residents were displaced and the fire caused around $50,000 in damages, according to the department. The department's fire marshal's office is investigating the fire, which started in the living room of the home.
