Two people in a car that hit a Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue Ambulance have life threatening injuries. Fire Chief Peter O’Leary says one of the people was thrown from the car and the other was “severely” pinned inside. He says the ambulance was driving with traffic, without lights or sirens, taking a patient to St. Agnes Hospital when it was hit at the intersection of Johnson and Main streets. The patient in the ambulance was not hurt and neither were the paramedics. The crash happened around 4:15 a.m. O’Leary says State Patrol is investigating the crash.
