Multiple northwest Wisconsin fire departments responded to battle a garage fire in Bayfield County on Sunday afternoon. The Ashland Fire Department responded to the fire at 30465 Chapek Road in the Township of Eileen around noon. The garage was "fully involved" and 7000 gallons of water was used to extinguish the fire. There were no injuries, and the cause remains under investigation. Mason, Washburn and Marengo Fire Departments were also called in to assist with battling the fire, as were off duty Ashland Fire Department firefighters.
