Green Bay Metro Fire Department crews responded to the 1500 block of Nelson street Monday night around 9:30 for reports of house fire. Authorities determined the fire started in a garage that was attached to the home. It’s not know yet what caused the fire, but officials say the flames spread into the house. Firefighters got the fire under control less than 15 minutes after arriving, but had to request additional assistance to perform overhaul operations. Damage to the house is estimated at $250,000. No one was injured.
