Firefighters are battling a house fire Thursday morning on Kickbusch Street. Wausau police officials said they’re at a fire in the 1000 block of Kickbusch Street with the Wausau Fire Department. Official said the scene is active, and the roadway and block surrounding the fire is closed and residents should expect delays. Officials said a family and their pets made it out safe, and the Salvation Army and American Red Cross is there to help Officials said Hawthorne Hills Elementary can be accessed by taking South 13th Street.
