No one was injured in a house fire at 210 22nd St. S. early Wednesday morning, according to the La Crosse Fire Department.
The department responded to a report of a house fire at 4:38 a.m. Wednesday, arriving in 4 minutes and 57 seconds to find heavy smoke coming from the front and side of the home.
All residents were out of the home at the time of the fire department’s arrival. Fire crews entered to find fire in the basement and first floor of the home.
The fire was contained and extinguished quickly. There was moderate fire and heavy smoke damage.
The La Crosse Fire Department had 29 personnel respond to the scene and 13 apparatus. The Red Cross assisted the family with temporary accommodations. Other agencies that assisted were Tri-State Ambulance, the La Crosse Police Department, Xcel Energy and Holmen Fire Department.
