The American Red Cross is providing temporary lodging for 25 residents from 14 units that were affected by Wednesday’s apartment fire in Menasha. According to a release, the American Red Cross is presently providing comfort, temporary lodging, food and health resources to those that were affected by the fire. There are additional residents from approximately seven units whom the American Red Cross has connected with, that may need assistance in the future but are currently staying with friends and family. We’re working with our partners in the community and the property manager to outline needs and next steps in this response. The American Red Cross is also asking people to avoid making any physical donations such as clothing or food to the Red Cross at this time, as they aren’t the best agency to handle this generosity. You can find out more information on their Facebook page. There is still no information on the cause of the fire.
