One person is in the hospital after La Crosse emergency crews rescued the person near Grandad Bluff. The incident happened around 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon. La Crosse police asked La Crosse fire crews for help finding the person on the bluff, according to the La Crosse fire department. Fire crews performed a technical slope evacuation to bring the person to safety. La Crosse County Emergency Dispatch and Tri-State Ambulance were the other agencies helping during the rescue. A total of 14 La Crosse firefighters responded to the call. The person’s name, injuries, and other details are not released at this time.
