A Kimberly woman was killed, and four other people were injured in a crash Saturday in Manitowoc County.
Deputies responded around 4 p.m. to a two-vehicle crash at Highway 42 and County VV in the town of Two Rivers, according to the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s office officials said Kristen VandeVoort, 31, of Kimberly was driving a 2010 Chevy Impala east on County VV when the vehicle didn’t stop at a stop sign at the intersection and was hit by a 2019 Dodge Ram going south that was driven by George Dearborn, 71, of Appleton. Sheriff’s office officials said VandeVoort was pronounced dead at the scene. Two children from Kimberly were passengers and had to be removed from the vehicle by firefighters. They had life-threatening injuries and were flown to St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, according to the sheriff’s office.
