The Wisconsin Department of Justice announced one person has been arrested in connection to a deadly fire Friday morning in Fort Atkinson.
According to a news release, Fort Atkinson fire and police responded to a residential fire on Foster Street on late Friday morning.
The release said firefighters were dealing with heavy fire conditions, and inside the house found a woman who had died.
Fort Atkinson authorities requested the State Fire Marshal’s Office at DOJ to investigate the death, which was later found to be suspicious, according to the release.
DOJ did not say who had been arrested in connection to the death, but did say all of the individuals involved knew each other. The release did not clarify who “all individuals involved in the incident” were, however.
