Green Bay Metro Fire Department Captain retiring after 35 years

The Green Bay Metro Fire Department is congratulating one of its captains as he prepares to retire Thursday. Captain Jon “JFred” Fredrickson has served the community in the City of Green Bay and the Village of Allouez and Bellevue for the last 35 years, beginning his career on March 26th, 1986 as an EMT Paramedic. Captain Fredrickson worked his way up through the ranks over the years, serving at a number of different stations, and becoming a leader on the GBMFD Urban Search and Rescue Team since its inception. Captain Fredrickson served alongside his brother, Greg Fredrickson, who also retired a Captain, as well as his son, Joe Fredrickson, who is currently serving as a firefighter.
