Several residents were displaced when a fire burned their apartment building in Merrill Tuesday. It happened around 5 p.m. Firefighters were called to the scene at the Park City apartments and saw flames and heavy smoke. There were no injuries, and they were able to get everyone safely out of the building. The Merrill Fire Department says 24 of the 32 units had minimal or no damage. But residents of eight apartments are dealing with damage. "There's definitely going to be some apartments where those occupants will have to find other shelter tonight. Lincoln County Emergency Management is assisting, working with the Salvation Army and Red Cross,” said Merrill Fire Chief Josh Klug. There’s no word yet on a cause.
