The brush fire is now contained in western Oneida County. The Wisconsin DNR says it has stopped growing at about three acres. The fire did get close to some buidlings and burned through debris, including tires which generated a lot of smoke. Crews are still on scene Sunday afternoon mopping up some hotspots. The DNR said it started as wildland fire and spread to the debris. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. There's increased fire danger across the state this weekend. Over the last two days the DNR has responded to dozens of wildland fires including several in the Northwoods. This fire, called the Lemur 2 Fire, was the second in Oneida County this week.
