The Milwaukee home at the center of a federal investigation was the target of arsonists using Molotov cocktails twice in a four-week span, an ATF official confirmed to 12 News.
In a May 7 news release, an ATF spokesperson said someone firebombed the home on 77th Street in nortwhest Milwaukee on April 25. The release included a still image, taken from surveillance video, of a van traveling in the alley behind the home.
On Monday, the spokesperson said investigators did not receive any tips about the vehicle or its driver after published news reports.
However, the spokesperson revealed it was not the only lead investigators were trying to pull a thread on. Four weeks prior to the April attack, on March 25, someone tried to burn the home down.
