Five people were displaced from their west side residence Monday morning after a fire broke out and spread through the entire home. Firefighters were dispatched to the 6300 block of Hartford Drive around 8:30 a.m. after getting multiple 911 calls. When crews arrived at the scene, they found the house fully engulfed in flames. Crews worked to get the exterior flames under control before firefighters moved inside to fully extinguish the fire. Firefighters used thousands of gallons to put the fire out. The blaze was fully extinguished just before 9 a.m. Four people were home at the time of the fire, and all of them were able to escape without injury. All five residents were displaced as a result of the fire. Fire officials said damage from the fire was severe and stretched from the first floor up into the attic. Siding on the home next door was also damaged.
