The Sun Prairie Fire and Rescue Company reports a fire caused $150,000 in damage to a home in the Town of Burke Tuesday morning.
According to a news release from SPFRC, crews responded to the 6000 block of Rattman Road at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, finding smoke and flames spilling out of a second-story window upon arrival.
Firefighters did not find anyone inside the home, and a further investigation found the homeowners were out of town when the house caught fire. The fire was suppressed within 10 minutes of crews arriving at the scene.
A preliminary investigation did not find anything suspicious behind the blaze. The fire department found heavy smoke damage throughout the house, estimating the damage to be around $150,000.
