Firefighters are investigating after a fire damaged A Family Affair Soul Food Kitchen Sunday night. Fire crews responded around 9 p.m. to 10th and Main streets for a report of a burning smell in the area, according to Fond du Lac Fire Rescue. Firefighters noticed a haze and found it coming from the restaurant at 417 South Main Street. Crews entered the building, which was unoccupied and found heavy smoke. They extinguished the fire and called Alliant Energy crews to secure utilities. Fire officials said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
