One person is dead and an ambulance flipped after multiple incidents in Marathon County. It started on Grand Avenue when a person was hit by a vehicle in Schofield. The Riverside Fire Department was transporting the person from the scene. The ambulance was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Scott Street and North First Street in Wausau and flipped over. Lieutenant Matt Van Lieshout with the Wausau Police Department tells News 9 that the the ambulance was on its way to Aspirus Hospital in Wausau when the accident happened. The person who died was hit by the vehicle on Grand Avenue. We do not know when they died.
