At around 2:45 Tuesday afternoon, the Newbold Fire Department and DNR responded to a brush fire. Both agencies responded to the uncontrolled fire which occurred off of Lake Mildred Road. They were able to get it under control after nearly four acres burned. Lake Mildred Road is just off Highway 47 near the Newbold Town Hall. At time of filming, there was a large amount of smoke and ash coming down. Wisconsin DNR stated on their site that the cause was from debris burning.
