Firefighters in Appleton say no one was injured after a small fire at a home north of downtown Appleton Sunday night. Around 7:45 p.m., Appleton firefighters responded to the home in the 1700 block of North Division Street. They arrived to light smoke coming out of a second-story bedroom window, and all residents having evacuated. Crews say they brought the fire under control within 10 minutes. Fire officials haven’t yet determined what caused the fire, and estimate it caused $10,000 in damage. Appleton firefighters want to remind people to know two ways out of every room, which is important, in case one is blocked or is considered dangerous.
