Didion is celebrating 50 years of operation by donating to local nonprofits.
The milling company gave $100,000 to local first responders and other agencies on Monday. A total $77,500 went to the fire departments of Cambria, Pardeeville, Randolph, Friesland, Columbus and Fall River, as well as the Columbia and Jefferson County Sheriff’s departments.
“We have the highest respect for the folks on the front lines,” company president Riley Didion said. “They faced new challenges during the pandemic.”
Didion also gave money to Randolph FFA, Pardeeville FFA and Habitat for Humanity of Dane County. Many of the first responder agencies that received money have responded to Didion’s facility in recent years, including an explosion in 2017 and a man being found dead in a corn silo in 2020.
