No known injuries after ‘suspicious in nature’ house fire in Chippewa Falls

No known injuries are reported after a house fire in Chippewa Falls Wednesday. Chippewa Falls Police Department is considering this fire to be “suspicious in nature.” According to a media release by Chippewa Falls Police Department, Chippewa Falls Fire and Emergency Services along with Chippewa Falls Police responded to the scene of a house fire located at 721 Superior Street. Fire Chief, Lee Douglas, says crews were dispatched to the heavily involved house fire Wednesday afternoon. At the time, the area was filled with smoke. The Chippewa Falls Police Department in a Facebook Post on their Facebook Page advised that people stay away from the area. A later update to their Facebook Post says Police units are still at the scene. According to a media release by Chippewa Falls Fire and Emergency Services, the main body of the fire was extinguished in 15 minutes. 24 firefighters responded to the scene.
