Two adults and four children were displaced Thursday following a fire in their town of Freedom home.
Firefighters from multiple agencies battled heavy fire that broke out Thursday morning in the kitchen of the home.
According to a Red Cross spokesperson, the agency provided emergency assistance for things like temporary lodging, meals and clothing, as well as access to health and mental health resources.
Alongside community partners, the Red Cross says they’ll work with the family in the days ahead on the next steps in their recovery.
The Freedom Fire Department was sent about 7:45 a.m. Thursday to a house on fire on Weyers Road in the Town of Freedom.
Vandenbroek-Kaukauna Fire Dept was also paged under an auto-aid agreement.
While in route, MABAS Box card 2-2 was called to the second alarm level, according to a news release.
