VIDEO/PHOTOS: No injuries were reported Tuesday morning after a tractor-trailer erupted into flames along southbound I-39/90, outside of Beloit, the city’s fire department reported.
In a Facebook post, the fire department shared photographs showing the still burning skeleton of the semi as firefighters continued getting it under control.
The post urged drivers headed that way to seek an alternate route, warning that southbound traffic is suffering serious delays. The Wisconsin State Patrol indicated the right two lanes are closed as firefighters work the scene, under the Hart Rd. bridge in the Town of Turtle.
The State Patrol indicated the semi was the only vehicle involved in the incident, which happened around 3:45 a.m. There have been no reports on how the fire started.
