VIDEO: The Oshkosh Fire Department picks up a statewide honor. The department is named the Emergency Medical Services of the Year by the state EMS Association. The group notes the OFD work in reducing falls in homes by the elderly. The department offered incentives for people to turn in their throw rugs and are doing home visits to determine fall risks. Falls are the most common call for service Oshkosh Fire handles every year.
