It was all about fun and fire safety Saturday at the La Crosse Children's Museum. Kids checked out firefighters' gear, learn how to make an emergency exit plan and ask questions about fire safety. The La Crosse Fire Department says it's never too early to teach kids to be fire safe. "When you're a new parent, there's some things you have to learn," said Community Risk Reduction Specialist Molly McCormick. "Adjusting your fire safety awareness because you now have children in the home is also going to be really important." The department encourages families to make sure they have a working smoke alarm and work out a plan in case a fire happens.
