VIDEO: Classes resume Friday at Wild Rose Middle and High School Friday, a day after a fire injured two construction workers. One had to be airlifted to a hospital, the Wild Rose Fire Department said in a statement.
At approximately 2:12 p.m., the Wild Rose Fire Department responded to reports of a rooftop fire at the Wild Rose Middle and High School. Students and staff were evacuated, and fire crews were able to extinguish the fire.
No students or staff were hurt, but two construction workers were injured and are being treated, one locally and one at a hospital after being airlifted by ThedaStar.
The origin of the fire is unknown and is currently under investigation. The construction company is working with local authorities to investigate the damage.
