A storage shed and several tractors are completely destroyed after a fire in Lodi, according to the Lodi Area Fire Department.
The Lodi Area Fire Department said it happened Friday, December 1, 2023, at a shed on County Highway V. The report of the fire came in at around 2:15 p.m. Firefighters said reports indicated a 50'x50' storage shed completely in flames.
When Lodi Incident Command (IC) got to the scene, they saw heavy smoke and flames coming out of the two large overhead doors. Lodi IC called for mutual aid from surrounding departments to help with manpower and rural water movement.
Crews said the area is not served by hydrants. Lodi Engine 11 crew setup for rural water movement and initial fire attack. According to the departments press release, this setup included "two large portable ground tanks that Engine 11 drafts water from and water tankers fill."
