A second leak in the heating and cooling system in as many school days resulted in the brief evacuation of Neenah High School. According to a note to parents, the refrigerant leak was from the same unit that caused Friday’s evacuation. As happened on Friday, the leak triggered the building’s fire alarm. Firefighters quickly cleared students and staff members to return to classes. “It is important to note that the fire alarm system is working properly,” the note continued. “The issue is with a leak in the HVAC system and contractors are on site working to repair the system alongside fire department officials. We will continue to follow all safety protocols and do our best to minimize the disruptions this has caused to our learning environment.” A district spokesperson says no one was injured and nothing was damaged.
