The Madison Fire Department appointed a new fire marshal, officials announced Tuesday. Bill Sullivan assumed duties on March 6. He has worked with MFD since 2007. Sullivan earned a Bachelor of Science in Fire and Safety Engineering Technology from the Eastern Kentucky University. He has spent the last 18 years as a Fire Protection Engineer for MFD. Sullivan also worked as a firefighter with the Sun Prairie Fire Department. As fire marshal, he will oversee MFD's Fire Prevention Division.
