A fire broke out at a pet crematory Tuesday afternoon in Eagle River. Around 2:56, fire crews responded to call of a fire at Forever Remembered Pet Crematory on Commerce Loop. Eagle River Fire Chief Michael Anderson told News 9 that the fire started in the east smoke stack of the building and spread along the interior of the roof. Crews were able to keep the fire contained to the area and prevent it from spreading to the main building. The owner was present at the time of the fire but was unharmed. At this time, there are no injuries to report. Crews were able to put out the fire, and are in the process of cleanup at the scene. The cause of the fire is still under investigation but has been deemed not suspicious in nature.
