VIDEO: Everyone inside a Reedsburg home, along with their ‘numerous pets’, escaped as a fire burned through the multi-story structure late Tuesday night, the city’s fire department reported. In video captured from the scene, firefighters could be seen attacking the fire from above and below. As crews on the ground aimed upwards toward the second and third floors of the home, another firefighter, who was in a cherry picker, rained down water on the burning roof. The user-submitted video showed the flames broke through the apex of the roof, while smoke poured from the windows of the upper floors. Reedsburg firefighters had been called to the house, in the 300 block of S. Locust Street, just before midnight and were joined by members of the La Valle and Loganville fire departments, according to the statement.
