The Milwaukee Fire Department responded to two overnight fires within 30 minutes of each other.
At 2:30 a.m., the fire department responded to a minor electrical fire at the Hilton Garden Inn near Howell Avenue and College Avenue. The hotel was evacuated, and no one was injured.
Then, at 3 a.m., they responded to 34th Street and Highland Avenue for a garage fire. Heavy smoke and flames were coming from the garage. 12 News reached out to the fire department to learn what caused the fire and if anyone was injured, but they did not have an update.
