VIDEO/PHOTO: During an Oct. 10 Sister Bay Stories event hosted by the Liberty Grove/Sister Bay Historical Society, Sister Bay/Liberty Grove Fire Chief Chris Hecht premiered a trailer for From Bucket Brigades to Modern Day, an upcoming longform video about the history of the Sister Bay/Liberty Grove Fire Department (SBLGFD.)
The video is part of an ongoing project to preserve the department’s history, which dates back to 1930 with the appointment of the SBLGFD’s first chief, Adolph Roeser.
A collection of videos, audio recordings, photos and other media that illuminates SBLGFD’s history will be available to the public soon through a new digital content hub.
During his presentation, Hecht discussed the achievements made and challenges faced by the fire department’s seven previous fire chiefs.
